RUIZ TAGLE, EDUARDO
On the evening of Easter Sunday, 5 April 1722, Dutch commander Jacob Roggeveen spotted an unknown land. Fifty years later, Easter Islanders saw sails on the horizon once again, this time the Spanish expedition commanded by Felipe González y Haedo. On March 14, 1774, the famous Captain James Cook called at Easter Island. This is an edited volume of the official reports and books of the first three expeditions.
